Marine surveys
Know the vessel, inside and out.
Led by an Accredited Marine Surveyor with more than 30 years of experience, our surveys document structure, machinery and systems clearly, so you understand what you’re buying, insuring, repairing or defending.
Survey types
The right survey for the decision ahead.

Condition surveys
A thorough assessment of hull, structure, machinery and systems, with findings ranked by priority.

Insurance & damage surveys
Condition and risk findings for cover, plus documented damage, cause and repair scope after a loss.

Repair & refit surveys
Scope, specification and cost insight before and during work, with rigging and hydraulics specialists.

Contract spec review
Independent review of the specification, safety requirements and shipyard milestones on a new build.
What we inspect
Every system that affects safety and value.
Each survey is scoped to its purpose, but a full condition survey typically covers:
- Hull, deck and structure, including moisture and laminate condition
- Main engines, generators and machinery spaces
- Electrical, plumbing, fuel and steering systems
- Rigging, sails and hydraulics
- Safety, firefighting and navigation equipment
- Documentation, maintenance records and compliance
Condition and value, together
A survey that also tells you what the vessel is worth.
Because our surveyors and appraisers work side by side, a VVS condition and value survey connects every finding to its effect on market value.
